Dear Reader,

For years, I’ve wanted to write “Dear Reader” posts.

Why haven’t I?

Because the gurus say you need to have clever names. Several of my friends have names for people who read their stories.

And they were clever, cute, sassy….and the list goes on.

All this time, I’ve wracked my brain trying to think of a clever name.

But, I’m a simple person. Personally, I don’t mind being called a reader or a friend or a bookworm. Therein lies the problem.

So, until someone comes up with a clever name, I’ll refer to you as Reader Friend(s).

With that out of the way, I’m going to say this page will be more active, and I’ll be scaling back on the Facebook group.

I started writing as a blogger, so this is more natural. And, I don’t have to post every day, or several times a day, for you to see my notes.

Because I’m a leave no reader behind kind of friend, I’ll share these posts in the group.

With all that being said, I hope your first days of 2023 have had some sweet high notes.

I’ve jumped back into Lilac Lane. It had been so long since I’d written in that world, it was like getting reacquainted with cousins I hadn’t seen in a while. And, I can tell I was writing through the Rona fog. 🙈

Last a question. I’ve heard murmurs about reading goals. I don’t set a goal with numbers. Mine are more like I try to read one nonfiction book a month and a book other than romance a month. Do you set a yearly reading goal? If so, what is it?
